Sumire「スミレ」 is a main character of Beautiful Sky Pretty Cure ☆ Saga, the second season of the Sky Pretty Cure Generations. Sumire is a young Guardling from Skyriver, who wields the power of moonlight. Sumire is Ozora Mizuki's fairy, who usually ends her sentences with "~sumi".
Personality[]
Sumire is a curious and open hearted young fairy. Even though Sumire made it to earth on her own, she is quite anxious when it comes to adventures. She is determined to fight and wouldn't run in a dangerous situation, but may start to cry. Sumire can be scared easily. For this reason, she always sticks to others who may can protect her or not. Even tho Sumire is often described as pessimistic, she tries to think as positive as she can.
Relationships[]
- Ozora Mizuki - Mizuki was the one that helped Sumire when she was too scared to go on with her adventure. Following to that, Sumire sticked to Mizuki until it turned out that Mizuki is destined to be the Pretty Cure of moonlight. Since then, Mizuki and Sumire's relationship has grown stronger. They now treat each other like they were sisters and not "just friends".
Etymology[]
Sumire (スミレ?) - Sumire (菫?) is a Japanese word that means "violet" if being translated into English. While there's a kanji for Sumire, it is usually written in hiragana すみれ. However, unlike more Japanese words and names, the meaning of the word sumire does not change when written with hiragana characters.
