Pretty Cures

Yugiri Mitama (夕霧 ミタマ, Yūgiri Mitama?) Mitama is a calm young girl, who usually thinks about things others would describe as normal. She likes to spend her time in the nature and watch the sky. To some, she appears spaced out at some times. Whenever she gets lost in her thoughts, she realizes nothing that happens around her. Her alter ego is Cure Dawn (キュアドーン, Kyua Dōn?), the legendary swallowtail priestess of faith.

Aoyama Hinata (青山 ヒナタ, Aoyama Hinata?) Hinata is a passionate girl, who is part of her school's kendo club. She loves taking challenges and would do anything to protect her younger sister. Hinata is pretty tomboyish and even though she wears the girls' uniform, some people confuse her to a boy. Her alter ego is Cure Soul (キュアソウル, Kyu Sōru?), the legendary swallowtail priestess of life.

Ise Kagura (井瀬 カグラ, Ise Kagura?) Kagura is the daughter of the family who owns the Amagawa Shrine. She is a loyal girl, who sees her duties as a shrine maiden as really important. Besides her work at the shrine, Kagura also loves to dance and is the best Kagura performer in this town. Outside the shrine, Kagura acts pretty shy towards others. Her alter ego is Cure Basil (キュアバジル, Kyu Bajiru?), the legendary swallowtail priestess of rituals.

Kazahana Sakura (風花 サクラ, Kazahana Sakura?) Sakura is a cheerful young girl whose family owns a well-known sweets shop. Sakura is a gentle girl who is admired by almost everyone in her age. Besides appearing as the perfect middle school student, Sakura actually feels pretty lonely, wondering if she'll ever be happy. Her alter ego is Cure Physic (キュアフィジック, Kyua Fijikku?), the legendary swallowtail priestess of recovery.

Mikoto Mere (水琴 メレ, Mikoto Mere?) Mere is a calm and serious young girl, who is the president of her school's tennis and volleyball club. She is quite popular among her clubs and very reliable. Mere is also a part of the student council. Mere, however can also be quite shy and sometimes shows troubles with the Japanese language, as she grew up in Hawaii. Her alter ego is Cure Melodic (キュアメロディック, Kyua Merodikku?), the legendary swallowtail priestess of songs.

Minor Characters

Yugiri Akira (夕霧 あきら, Yūgiri Akira?) Akira is Mitama's father, who works as a doctor in the local hospital. He currently lives together with Mitama at a local shrine, where Mitama usually stays when he has to work. Even though he hardly gets time to spend with her, he cares a lot about Mitama and would do everything to protect her.

Yugiri Nozomi (夕霧 希望, Yūgiri Nozomi?) Nozomi was Mitama's mother and a shrine maiden. However, Nozomi died when Mitama was only four years old. That's why Mitama hardly remembers anything of her.

Aoyama Soleil (青山 それいゆ, Aoyama Soreiyu?) Soleil is Hinata's younger sister, who suffers from an unknown disease and can't attend schools like normal children. Hinata loves her sister very much and tries to give her a normal life, like everyone has. Whenever Hinata is free from school and training, she studies to become a doctor in order to heal her sister.

Ise Yoshimaru (井瀬 佳丸, Ise Yoshimaru?) Yoshimaru is Kagura's father and owner of the Amagawa shrine. He is usually very strict towards Kagura. He wants her to become a reliable girl, who can take over the shrine one day. Yoshimaru let Kagura stay with him after he and his wife divorced a year ago.

Maeda Haruka (前田 春香, Maeda Haruka?) Haruka is Kagura's mother, who is an entertainer in Tokyo. After she and Yoshimaru divorced a year ago, Kagura hardly gets to see her mother anymore. However, they stay in contact via video chat.

Kazahana Taro (風花 太郎, Kazahana Tarō?) Taro is Sakura's father and co-owner of the Starcandy sweets shop. Since he's responisble for making the sweets, Taro rarely has got time to spend with his children. He is usually in the sweets kitchen and comes out of it very rarely.

Kazahana Yumi (風花 夕見, Kazahana Yūmi?) Yumi is Sakura's mother and actual owner of the Starcandy sweets shop. She is usually behind the desk, helping customers and getting into conversations. She also the one Sakura talks about her problems with. Yumi is a gentle woman, who would do anything to make Sakura and her sister happy.

Kazahana Kaguya (風花 カグヤ, Kazahana Kaguya?) Kaguya is Sakura's older sister, who brought the Starcandy sweets shop to Tokyo. As she owns a candy shop, inspired by her family's sweet shop, Kaguya currently lives in Tokyo. Yet, she sometimes visits her family in Asagamiru.

• Asagamiru (朝ヶ見日, Asagamiru^?) - The hometown of the Cures and main setting of the season.
• Amagawa Shirne (天川神社, Amagawa jinja^?) - The shrine owned by Kagura's family and secondary main setting of the season. Mitama's family lives together with Kagura's family at the Amagawa Shrine.
• Starcandy Sweets Shop (星の飴, Hoshinoame^?) - The sweets shop owned by Sakura's family.

Items

• Hearts Beads (ハーツビーズ, Hātsu Bīzu^?) - The Hearts Beads are magical items that the Cures use to transform.
• Cure Staff (キュアスタッフ, Kyua Sutaffu^?) - Legendary wands that can only be used by the legendary Pretty Cures.

• Peacefulness Pretty Cure! is the seventh Pretty Cure season to have the name written in hiragana, preceded by Futari wa Pretty Cure, Futari wa Pretty Cure Heart, Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash★Star, Doki Doki! Pretty Cure, Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! and KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode.
