Dante (ダンテ?) is one of the mascot characters of Pretty Cure☆Lumiere.
Main guardian of Persephone and “older brother” of Elysi, Dante is a strict and slightly cold dog like fairy. Due to his strict nature, he is often avoided by the fun loving princess who often disobeys him leading to get angry and question his decision of becoming the princess’ guardian. Despite his strict, cold and distant nature, he is a softie and cares very much for the Cures, Elysi and Persephone but shows this in his own way of caring. He ends his sentences with "-te".

Being a slightly older fairy than his "sister", he has more magical ability than her yet not all of them are known. Despite this, much like Elysi, he has the ability to read emotions and sense the presence of a Kuraikari.
Songs[]
Though nothing is known yet, Chinatsu Kiseki has revealed that Dante will share a duet with Elysi.
Etymology[]
Dante comes from the name of the Italian poet, Dante Alighieri who wrote the Divine Comedy - a poem describing his journey from Hell to Purgatory to Heaven.[1] It is also the Italian form of Durante, which means "enduring".[2]
Trivia[]
- He shares his voice actor, Fukuyama Jun, with Koro-sensei from Assassination Classroom and King from The Seven Deadly Sins.
