Plot[]

Characters[]

Pretty Cure[]

Fujisaki Akari (藤崎あかり?) / Cure Spirea (キュアスパイリーア?) - The lead cure of the series, Akari is optimistic and has no worries whatsoever, usually being incredibly airheaded as a result of her lack of worry. Despite this, Akari is pretty headstrong, reckless and always tries to do what’s right leading her to get into grave trouble despite her good intentions. She is also rather clumsy and struggles to stay focused, much to the frustration of her older sister and caretaker. Her Pretty Cure alter ego is Cure Spirea who controls the power of flowers and represents hope. Her theme colour is pink.

Kūchū Kaylene (空中カイリーン?) / Cure Breath (キュアブレス?) - The princess of the Starry Kingdom, Kaylene is a shy yet skilled fighter who is also the protector of the Étoile Keys. Being the protector of the Étoile Keys, Kaylene makes sure they are in her sight at all times and is very cautious about them - especially when coming to Earth after having to escape her home as an order from her mother who also told her to find the legendary stars. Alongside this, Kaylene is also clueless about the rules of Earth. Her Pretty Cure alter ego is Cure Breath who controls the power of wind and represents dreams. Her theme colour is yellow.

Starry Kingdom[]

Altair (アルテア?) - Kaylene’s caretaker and a royal guard of the Starry Kingdom, Altair is a rather reserved and quiet fairy. Usually only speaking when needed, Altair has the tendency to freak out when in social situations and has issues conveying what is needed or conveying every single piece of information due to his memory issues. He is a bird-like creature.

Andromei (アンドロメイ?) - Kaylene’s mother who appointed her as protector of the Étoile Keys as well as trained her to be a skilled fighter, Andromei is the headstrong yet caring queen of the Starry Kingdom and is highly respected in the kingdom. She sent Kaylene to Earth in hope of finding the legendary stars, the Pretty Cure, after the leader of Fantôme Necro, Chronos attacked the Starry Kingdom.

Fantôme Necro[]

Chronos (クロノス?) - The main antagonist of the series, Chronos is the leader of Fantôme Necro. Though his intention remain unknown, he is a sadist and enjoys seeing people in pain and disarray. He is cold mannered and despises the happiness that one can have.

Supporting[]

Fujisaki Iroha (藤崎いろは?) - Iroha is Akari’s older sister who is more aware of the world's dangers and a pessimist. Being a pessimist, Iroha constantly worries about her sister’s safety especially as their parents are currently abroad at work. Usually getting annoyed at her younger sister’s antics, she is highly overprotective and doesn’t want Akari to get hurt.

Akinomiya Kagami (秋ノ宮かがみ?) - Kagami is the caretaker of both Akari and Iroha while the sisters’ parents are working abroad. Kagami is a rather strict woman, having given the two girls curfews and expecting them to be home by a certain time. She allows Kaylene to live with them. Kagami somehow knows about the Starry Kingdom and Fantôme Necro.

Hoshimi Yumeru (星見ゆめる?) - An oddball to say the least, Meru is a classmate of Akari and Kaylene who refers to herself as the Magical Girl “Meruru”. Believing herself to be a magical girl, many of her classmates refer to her as a chuunibyou as a result. Despite her high levels of energy and definite positive nature, Yumeru is highly insecure and uses her Meruru side to hide this.

Items[]

StarLock (スターロック?) - The main transformation items of the series formed from the hearts of the Legendary Stars. In order for the Cures to use their StarLock, they are required to use their respective transformation Étoile Key and the phrase “Pretty Cure, Unlock!”.

Étoile Keys (エトワールキー?) - The magical items of the Starry Kingdom that allow the Cures to transform, the Étoile Keys hold the divine power of hope and dreams. With the Étoile Keys possessing great power, they have to be protected from the wrong hands and require a protector to keep them safe - this currently being in the form of Kaylene.

Stardust Jewels (スターダストジュエル?) - The main collectible items of the series , the Stardust Jewels are the remnants of dead stars in the form of 12 Crystals (colours being red, scarlet, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, purple, indigo, pink, black and white).

Locations[]

Fūgetsumichi (風月道?) - The main location of the series. Fūgetsumichi is the home of most of the series' cast.

Fūgetsumichi Private Academy (風月道民間学校?) - The school the main characters attend. The academy is a higher up academy and teaches both middle school and high school as well as university levels.

Starry Kingdom (星空王国?) - The homeworld of Kaylene and Altair.
